FireStar Software's senior management team brings over 120 years of collective software industry experience to the company.
Kenneth Lord, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Lord has founded and led the efforts of three successful software businesses. He conceived and developed the initial product strategy for ObjectSpark ™ when with ONTOS and engineered its acquisition and the creation of FireStar Software, Inc. He has thirty years of software marketing, management, and start-up experience and has been involved in the data integration sector since 1984. Prior to becoming CEO of FireStar, Ken was President and CEO at QuickBuy, an early-stage e-commerce Application Service Provider, and he was one of the three founders of Constellation Software (sold to Ardent Software, and ultimately acquired by IBM). Mr. Lord holds a B.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management and a M.S. in Accounting from Bentley College.
Mark Eisner, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Eisner brings over 30 years of software industry technical, management and start-up experience to FireStar Software. Mr. Eisner founded and pioneered software companies that became market leaders in the OLAP (Dynamics Associates, acquired by Chase Manhattan Bank) and Automated Software Test (Softbridge, acquired by Teradyne) markets. He is responsible for defining the technical/commercial strategy of the Company, and promoting that technical vision to the industry. Mr. Eisner has been a consultant to numerous software companies and corporate IT departments, including IBM, Microsoft, New England Financial/Met Life, Platinum Technology, Progress Software and SWIFT, with a particular focus on distributed computing architectures and solutions. Mr. Eisner holds a B.S. in Economics and Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Gabriel Oancea, Chief Software Architect
Mr. Oancea has led the development effort of ObjectSpark and is the cornerstone of the engineering group, with over 20 years experience with distributed computing and database interface methodology. Mr. Oancea is the author of FireStar's granted patents for object persistence and mapping. He has also authored books covering the utilization of popular object-based languages and numerous conference proceedings. Prior to joining FireStar Software, Mr. Oancea was Chief Architect at ONTOS. He has held senior technical and management positions at Dictaphone Corporation, the Government of Ontario, and Unitel Communications. Mr. Oancea holds a M.S. in Engineering from the University of Bucharest and has completed graduate work toward a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Toronto.
Charley O'Neill, Vice President, Engineering and Solution Delivery
Mr. O'Neill is Vice President of Engineering and Solution Delivery for FireStar Software. He is a 30-year veteran of the technology industry. Building on his 10 years of MIS experience and 10 years of direct R&D experience, Mr. O'Neill has spent the past decade building technology groups that are capable of delivering highly complex, high quality, functional, enterprise solutions. His ability to direct the practical use of technology to meet stringent customer requirements has produced a legacy of highly successful product and solution engagements for Prime Computer, VMark Software, Vality Technology, Rogue Wave Software, and most recently deNovis Inc.
Mr. O'Neill's experience includes proven abilities to manage large-scale complex projects, software product development, application development, hardware and software quality assurance, performance testing, system administration, release engineering, education, corporate program management, software globalization/localization, documentation, computer operations, and full P&L delivery responsibility. His experience includes the domains of health care, financial services, banking, manufacturing, software tools, office automation, and retail at both domestic and international levels. Mr. O'Neill has a BA in Economics from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
